Lift and slide doors in Calpe
In Calpe many homes are apartments and penthouses facing the sea and the Peñón de Ifach. A large sliding door turns the terrace into a second living room, with the rock and the bay in front of you all day.

From the sofa you see the whole bay. You slide the door open and the breakfast table is outside, with the sun rising over the sea. Closed, the room stays quiet.
What you enjoy here
The rock and the bay
The Peñón de Ifach and the long beaches, framed by one wide pane instead of several doors.
Morning on the terrace
The sun comes up over the sea. With the door open, the terrace is the brightest room of the house.
Wind on a high floor
Higher floors carry more wind on the glass. We ask for the tested wind class for your size.

The models, simply put
Three ways to bring the view into the living room. All made to measure with Kömmerling profiles and installed by our own team.
Kömmerling PremiDoor 76 AluClip and PremiDoor 76 Lux AluClipAlu-clad lift and slide door
What it is. A wall of glass that slides open to the terrace, with aluminium outside and uPVC inside. From the garden you see aluminium in the colour of the façade; from the sofa, a warm frame around the sea.
6.00 × 2.40 mMaximum size of one door (19 ft 8 in × 7 ft 10 in), the same in any outside colour
Kömmerling PremiDoor 76 and PremiDoor 76 LuxuPVC lift and slide door
What it is. The same lift and slide door, all in uPVC: white or with a colour foil. Open, it leaves the widest view of the line; closed, the glass panel drops onto its rubber seals and the room goes quiet.
6.5 mMaximum width in white (21 ft 4 in), in up to four sliding panels of up to 400 kg each
Kömmerling AluNext AD and MD, and AluClip ZeroAlu-clad windows and fixed lights
What it is. Windows that open on hinges and floor-to-ceiling panes that do not open, with the same aluminium outside and the same uPVC inside as the door. The view carries on from room to room.
9AWatertightness: the highest numbered class of the standard that tests wind-driven rain

How we work in Calpe
In a block, we check the lift, the stairs and whether a large panel needs a crane. We ask you to confirm with the administrator which colour and frame the façade allows. Penthouses and towers.
Calpe town hall’s works notice asks for photos of the area being changed; we send you ours from the survey. Each door is made to measure with Kömmerling profiles and installed by our own team. If you are abroad, a key holder lets us in and you follow the job through photos. How we work while you are away.
Technical advice for interior design studios and architects
When a studio is behind the project, we work with it from the drawings: which system fits each opening, with which sightlines and which data-sheet figures, each with its test conditions, ready for the specification or the client.
Opening by opening
Lift and slide, alu-clad or uPVC, with the number of panels and the glass for that façade.
Sightlines in mm
Every junction measured, no “minimal” where it does not apply.
Data sheets with tests
Official Kömmerling data sheets linked, and a performance table per system.
Coordinated works
With property managers and key holders, and a handover photo report for the owner.
Questions about lift and slide doors in Calpe
Is a lift and slide door worth it for a Calpe penthouse?
For a terrace facing the bay and the Peñón de Ifach, usually yes. One wide opening turns the terrace into a second living room, and the door closes like a window when the wind gets up. Three checks come first: the community must be told before works, the sash must reach the floor through the lift or by crane, and we ask Kömmerling for the wind class in writing for your size.
Do I need the community’s permission in Calpe?
You must inform the community first. Under article 7.1 of the Horizontal Property Law, you can change your own home if the outside appearance of the building does not change. Closing a terrace counts as an alteration of the building: under article 17 it needs three fifths of the owners, holding three fifths of the shares. The community’s own rules also apply.
Will it cope with the wind on a high floor in Calpe?
Under the building code, wind pressure on a façade grows with height. For the uPVC PremiDoor 76, the Spanish data sheet states wind class up to C5, and Kömmerling’s German documents state up to C1/B2 for the same door. Kömmerling publishes no wind class for the alu-clad version. Because the two documents differ, we ask for the class in writing for the actual size of your door.
Can it be done while I’m in the UK?
Yes. A key holder lets us in for the survey and the fitting: family, a neighbour, your property manager or your agent. Eduardo goes through the written quote with you in English, on WhatsApp or on a video call. During the fitting you receive photos of each opening at every stage, until the threshold is sealed.
Lift and slide doors in other areas
Each area asks for something different: height, wind, salt air or a holiday home.
