Lift and slide doors in Javea
Javea has the Montgó on one side and the sea on the other, with villas on the hills and homes above the coves. Where the plot looks over the water, a large sliding door opens the house to the landscape and still closes firmly against the autumn rain.

Lunch on the terrace, the door fully open, the coastline in front and the Montgó behind. In an October storm the same door is closed, and the rain stays on the outside of the glass.
What you enjoy here
Mountain and sea
From the hills, the Montgó, the bay and the capes in one view. Large panes keep it whole.
Sunrise over the water
On the east-facing slopes, the day starts on the sea. A wall of glass lets it into the room.
Autumn rain
September and October are the wettest months on this coast. The threshold is where a door has to be right.

The models, simply put
Three ways to bring the view into the living room. All made to measure with Kömmerling profiles and installed by our own team.
Kömmerling PremiDoor 76 AluClip and PremiDoor 76 Lux AluClipAlu-clad lift and slide door
What it is. A wall of glass that slides open to the terrace, with aluminium outside and uPVC inside. From the garden you see aluminium in the colour of the façade; from the sofa, a warm frame around the sea.
6.00 × 2.40 mMaximum size of one door (19 ft 8 in × 7 ft 10 in), the same in any outside colour
Kömmerling PremiDoor 76 and PremiDoor 76 LuxuPVC lift and slide door
What it is. The same lift and slide door, all in uPVC: white or with a colour foil. Open, it leaves the widest view of the line; closed, the glass panel drops onto its rubber seals and the room goes quiet.
6.5 mMaximum width in white (21 ft 4 in), in up to four sliding panels of up to 400 kg each
Kömmerling AluNext AD and MD, and AluClip ZeroAlu-clad windows and fixed lights
What it is. Windows that open on hinges and floor-to-ceiling panes that do not open, with the same aluminium outside and the same uPVC inside as the door. The view carries on from room to room.

How we work in Javea
At the survey we measure every opening and look at how the terrace drains. Where the drainage allows, the threshold is level with the floor; where it does not, a small step. The threshold and autumn rain.
For the paperwork, Javea town hall separates two cases: the same opening, or a wider one, which needs more documents. Each door is made to measure with Kömmerling profiles and installed by our own team. If you are abroad, a key holder lets us in and you follow the job through photos. How we work while you are away.
Technical advice for interior design studios and architects
When a studio is behind the project, we work with it from the drawings: which system fits each opening, with which sightlines and which data-sheet figures, each with its test conditions, ready for the specification or the client.
Opening by opening
Lift and slide, alu-clad or uPVC, with the number of panels and the glass for that façade.
Sightlines in mm
Every junction measured, no “minimal” where it does not apply.
Data sheets with tests
Official Kömmerling data sheets linked, and a performance table per system.
Coordinated works
With property managers and key holders, and a handover photo report for the owner.
Questions about lift and slide doors in Javea
Do I need a permit in Javea to widen the opening?
Yes, a widened opening is a separate case at Javea town hall. Its works notice for exterior works lists renewing exterior joinery as the first case, and changing the size of an opening in the façade as the second, with more documents. Both pay the town hall fee and the works tax (ICIO). If the works touch the structure, regional law also asks for a certificate from a professional body.
Can I fit a lift and slide door in Javea’s old town?
In the old town (Zone A), Javea town hall asks for timber frames when exterior joinery is renewed. Our lift and slide doors are uPVC or alu-clad uPVC, so they do not meet that rule, and we will tell you so. Outside the old town, the town hall asks for the whole façade to stay consistent.
Will the threshold keep out the autumn rain in Javea?
At Alicante’s two AEMET weather stations, September and October are the wettest months. The uPVC PremiDoor 76 reaches water class 9A on the Spanish data sheet, the highest numbered class, and the class can vary with the size of the opening. Kömmerling publishes no water class for the alu-clad version. The threshold choice also matters: standard, flush or Renovation, depending on how your terrace drains.
Lift and slide doors in other areas
Each area asks for something different: height, wind, salt air or a holiday home.
